GIS - RS Center Web Site Redesign

GIS - RS Center. It's been a few years since the GIS - RS Center Web site was last redesigned, so I've been tasked with creating a completely different design, one that opens the site up a bit, lets it breath and allows visitors to more easily and quickly find the information they are seeking. The site will be supported by Symphony CMS. (Site in development)

Florida International University Campus Maps

GIS - RS Center. Working from the existing FIU Campus Maps Web site, a concept design was created based on the FIU colors. The HTML prototyping is currently in development, with the overall project expected to be released sometime in December 2009. (Site in development)

Hand Drawn Map Association Green Libray Exhibition

GIS - RS Center. The Green Library at Florida International University was asked by the Hand Drawn Map Association to host a display of select hand drawn maps from the organization's collection. I designed a poster and flyers advertising the exhibition. Event pictures were posted on Flickr.

Integrated Transportation Information System Online Mapping Application

GIS - RS Center. Worked from an existing design used for the Miami-Dade mapping application, the ITIS site was slightly modified with some minor improvements made to the interface. Designed the logo intended to adequately represent the South East Florida Tri-County Metropolitan Planning Organizations. Rigorously tested the application in multiple browsers and in Mac and Windows OS environments. Site Active

Miami-Dade Metropolitan Planning Organization

GIS - RS Center. Created the concept design and user interface for the site, as well as a logo. Coded the XHML/CSS for the site. Used an established Javascript library (Mootools) to program the behavior of the site's interface. Continued dialogue with client to continually improve the site's usability. Site Active

FIU Library

GIS - RS Center. Worked from provided concept designs to mockup prototypes in XHTML/CSS that were then integrated into the Dot Net framework. Worked closely with lead programmer (Carlos Krefft) to ensure adherence to design patterns throughout the Library Web site. Thoroughly tested the site for browser compatibility in multiple OS environments. Prepared guidelines on best practices for maintaining design consistency throughout the site. Site Active
